Overview
The widgets content type is available through the Blox Widgets Addon for both Global and Local blocks. With this addon, you can add any available WordPress widget(s) to a content block.
Usage
The screenshot below depicts the available settings for a widgets content block. Currently, there is only one setting. Simply choose the widgets you want to add to the content block and they will display on the frontend.
Making Widgets Selectable
By default, no widgets are selectable by the plugin. To enable a widget, navigate to the admin Widgets page and configure widgets in the Blox Widgets widget area, see the screenshot below.
The order the selected widgets will appear on the frontend is determined by the order in which that are added to the Blox Widgets widget area. The behavior is the same for any of your theme’s other widget areas.
Enabling the Add-on
To start using this add-on, log into your account and then click on Downloads. Then download the latest version of the add-on you are looking to use. Upload the compressed file to your WordPress website, just as you would any other plugin. Once installed, you will want to activate the add-on license. Back in your account, on the Purchases tab, you will see a link to View Licenses. See the screenshot below. Click on this link.
On the following page, hover over the key icon of the add-on you are looking to activate. See the screenshot below. This will display the license key, which you will need to copy.
Finally, back on your website, navigate to the Licenses & Addons settings page, and activate the license as you did for Blox itself. For more details on activating licenses, please check out the Licensing page.
